The "Newbie Day Out" is designed for beginners or those nearing an Intermediate level, providing personalized instruction to help you become a self-sufficient angler. For Intermediate and Advanced anglers, we offer both traditional half-day and full-day guided trips on Utah's Blue Ribbon trout waters, always leading with an educational focus and always providing an exceptional fishing experience.
Additionally, Hatch Academy caters to custom experiences for those looking for something a little different and off the beaten path. Just reach out, and we can discuss your idea(s)! For large group experiences, we are perfect for special celebrations, corporate retreats, or family gatherings, ensuring a memorable adventure for all participants.

Newbie Day Out

Intermediate and Advanced
At Hatch Academy Utah, traditional fly fishing guide services are tailored to provide a seamless and unforgettable experience on Utah's pristine Blue-Ribbon trout waters, but always with a focus on education and learning. First, we’ll establish what your goals are for the day. Next, we’ll select the best Guide based on your goals and expectations. After that, you can be confident that you’ll enjoy a day of fishing as we handle everything from selecting the perfect flies to finding the most productive spots. Whether you're a seasoned angler seeking trophy trout or an intermediate angler eager to deepen their experience with the sport, our guides ensure your adventure is stress-free and filled with memorable catches. Our deep knowledge of local rivers, combined with personalized attention and a goal-forward mindset, guarantees a rewarding and enriching journey.
Half-Day Rates*
Our half-day trips will give you about 4 hours of time out on the water. Our half-day trips include rods, reels, flies, etc. Half-day trips are a great way to freshen up your skills, learn a little about new waters if you are visiting and might be on a tight deadline, or simply only have energy for a few hours out!

3-Person (1 Guide): $600
4-Person (2 Guides): $875

Full-Day Rates*
Our full-day trips will give you around 6-8 hours of time out on the water, depending on the time of year. Our full-day trips include rods, reels, flies, etc., and also include our world-famous Hatch Academy meals, such as our homemade pulled pork sandwiches, river chili, and sloppy joe, just to name a few!
